Can Muslims be friends with Jews, Christians and other religion?

The following verse from the Quran capsulates this issue:

O mankind! We created you from a single (pair) of a male and a female, and made you into nations and tribes, that you may know each other (not that you may despise (each other). Verily the most honored of you in the sight of God is (he who is) the most righteous of you. And God has full knowledge and is well acquainted (with all things). (Quran 49:13).

So we must be honest,sincere and helpful to our friends who are non muslims as righteous Muslims. Not to forget that we muslims are Vicegerent (reps) of Allah the most gracious and most merciful. Allah SWT has been kind to non muslims. he provides all the goods in this world to them even though they worship other false Gods. Allah gave every human limited free will to choose what he likes. There is no compulsion in Islam. Muslims must remind in a polite and gentle way to non Muslims that there is only One God Allah to worship. To worship the creator Allah and not to worship the creations. Allah is 1.One he has no partner. 2. He is absolute. 3.He does not give birth. 4. Nor is he borne. 5.There is non like unto him, he is One. If a person is borne he is not God. God is high above all the creations. Our capacity of intelligence cannot comprehend Allah.
